Where Study Meets Travel

Who Am I?

I’m Anouska, a postgraduate student studying International Security. When I’m not busy in lectures or seminars, I’m somewhere on a plane or coach or train!

Security isn’t just theory—it’s lived experience and the cultures that shape it. Travelling helps me understand global politics beyond the classroom. I find it fascinating to merge the two together. This blog will be a tool for students on a similar topic to those I’m researching. It will also be for anyone looking to travel to places I’ve been to!

I’m typically found playing guitar or diving into a video game (everyone needs a break!). I’m also a course representative, always up for a good debate, and have a growing fascination with journalism the more I travel.

With six more holidays already planned this year, it’s safe to say that travel is a massive part of my life. I’ve found that studying and travelling aren’t just two separate things; they complement each other and make the university experience a lot more endurable.

Why JetSetGrad?

I decided to start this blog because I want to bring travel, global affairs, and student life together. Through JetSetGrad, I want to share my experiences of juggling academia with adventure and travel. This may be through spontaneous city breaks or long-haul destinations that show me a new culture. It can also come in the form of simply discussing the best ways to study or the best websites to use.
